Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Vincent Dapalong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Burkell!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Hugh Johnson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A momentary lapse in concentration from Dapalong enables Burkell to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dapalong manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Burkell's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Burkell drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dapalong looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dapalong looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dapalong!
Dapalong tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Dapalong trying to control the position but Burkell is working away.
Burkell is looking for a sweep.
Burkell struggling a bit here.
Dapalong trying to control the action but Burkell is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Burkell tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dapalong wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Burkell prevents Dapalong from moving into mount.
Dapalong tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily.
Dapalong looking to control but instead Burkell has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Burkell is trying to stand back up but Dapalong is controlling him

Dapalong is trying to control the action in half guard but Burkell is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Burkell trying to control from the bottom.
Dapalong throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Dapalong tries to pass to full mount but Burkell defends it.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
It looks like Dapalong is going to stand back up.
Dapalong is looking to take a break and control but Burkell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Burkell wants to control but Dapalong is keeping busy.

Burkell is pressing down on Dapalong's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Burkell is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Some wild striking there from Dapalong.
Burkell shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Dapalong as he avoids it easily.
Burkell looks winded!
Dapalong misses with the combination.
Donk. Dapalong catches Burkell right on the button with a cross.
Dapalong drops Burkell with a beautiful combination! Burkell stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Dapalong is looking for the KO!
Burkell is rocked!
It looks like Frank Burkell has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dapalong cracks Burkell with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
