Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Warne! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jock McStrapon! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice leg kick lands there from McStrapon. McStrapon bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Warne shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. McStrapon is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Warne's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Warne's back! McStrapon is hanging on to Warne's back as he tries to escape.

Warne might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Warne looking very determined here, making life difficult for McStrapon.

That's gotta hurt. McStrapon has closed the distance and engaged Warne in a clinch.

McStrapon scores with an uppercut up the middle. Warne tries a body shot but McStrapon blocks it.

McStrapon tries to throw a body punch but Warne avoids it by throwing McStrapon back against the cage. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McStrapon misses with a shot to the kidneys.

McStrapon working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Warne is looking to take this one to the mat. McStrapon lands a right hand that snaps the head of Warne backwards. McStrapon softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. McStrapon has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. With the fighters clinched against the cage, McStrapon creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. McStrapon throws a head punch that misses. McStrapon scores with a shoulder strike. Warne blocks a body shot from McStrapon. Warne tries to throw a body punch but McStrapon avoids it by throwing Warne back against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

McStrapon lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Warne shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McStrapon pinned against the cage. McStrapon gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. A momentary lapse in concentration from McStrapon enables Warne to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McStrapon manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. McStrapon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. McStrapon wants to get back to his feet but Warne is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Warne keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of McStrapon's head. Warne missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Warne throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McStrapon works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Warne accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. McStrapon utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Warne controlling from the top position. That's two minutes gone in the round. Warne trying to move into half guard but instead McStrapon has managed to sweep! McStrapon preventing the sweep. Warne on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Warne tries to get out of the position. Warne is working hard here to advance position. Warne has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Warne not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. McStrapon clinches up against the cage. McStrapon tries to throw a body punch but Warne avoids it by throwing McStrapon back against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Warne. McStrapon misses with a shot to the kidneys.

This has been an exciting period of action! Warne tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and McStrapon is able to avoid easily. Warne lands the left hand. Jab from McStrapon. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. McStrapon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Warne has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Warne swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McStrapon lands with a good body shot. McStrapon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Warne moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Shane Warne will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Warne. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. An elbow from Warne crashes against the mat.
Warne scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at McStrapon to see if he's OK. The strikes coming from Warne are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Warne grinds an elbow into McStrapon's temple. Warne scores with punches from side control.

Shane Warne overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. McStrapon stopping the sweep attempt from Warne. Warne wants to control the position but McStrapon says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Warne manages to get to full guard.
