Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Donald Kerabatsos! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bryan Bishop! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Thiago Cunha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bishop lands with a thumping leg kick.
Bishop misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Kerabatsos swings and misses with a shot to the body and Bishop counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bishop shoots and misses and Bishop takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. A head kick misses from Kerabatsos. Kerabatsos defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bishop. Donald Kerabatsos has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan Bishop. Kerabatsos misses with a straight right. Kerabatsos keeps Bishop at a distance using the push kick. Bishop shoots for a double leg takedown but Kerabatsos sprawls well. Kerabatsos is looking for a sweep. Bishop is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Kerabatsos is refusing to be controlled, as Bishop sits in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bishop looks to land a strike but Kerabatsos avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kerabatsos content just to control the position here.

He's obviously looking to slow Bishop down. Kerabatsos stuffs the takedown. Kerabatsos uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Bishop on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Bishop tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kerabatsos throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Kerabatsos misses the shot to the body. Bishop shoots in for a takedown but Kerabatsos shows good takedown defense. Kerabatsos bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Bishop with a lazy takedown attempt and Kerabatsos counters with a leg kick. Bishop is breathing heavily. Kerabatsos throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Kerabatsos loads up on a big right hand but Bishop slips the punch. Kerabatsos is looking to wear down Bishop with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Kerabatsos looks to score with a jab to the body but Bishop is just out of range. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bishop looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Kerabatsos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nice cross by Kerabatsos. Kerabatsos lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Bishop closes the distance and clinches up with Kerabatsos, looking for a takedown. Bishop pushes Kerabatsos against the cage but Kerabatsos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Bishop tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Bishop shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kerabatsos as he avoids it easily. Kerabatsos lands a really nice looking cross but Bishop seems unphased.
Kerabatsos slaps away a takedown attempt from Bishop, before circling back to the center of the mat. Kerabatsos connects with the punch. Kerabatsos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bishop circles away quickly and effectively. Bishop throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kerabatsos's waist but Kerabatsos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bishop off to one side. The fighters circle momentarily. Kerabatsos darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Kerabatsos digs a good body shot into Bishop's ribs. Donald Kerabatsos is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kerabatsos scores with a one two! Bishop had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Bishop's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kerabatsos connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Bishop scrambles back to his feet. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kerabatsos with a hook. Bishop fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Bishop misses with a takedown and Kerabatsos counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Kerabatsos connects with a looping right hand.
Donald Kerabatsos is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kerabatsos keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kerabatsos lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kerabatsos fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Bishop has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Kerabatsos displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bishop. Kerabatsos cracks the inside of Bishop's front leg.
And that's the end of the fight! Donald Kerabatsos showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kerabatsos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
