Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Hipfl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker has chosen Richard Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries as his entrance music. Cain Slyker has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hipfl wants to clinch up but Slyker keeps it at a distance.
Some bone on bone action there as Hipfl checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Slyker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Slyker throws a hook to the side of Hipfl's head but Hipfl sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Slyker is looking to chop away at Hipfl's legs.
Hipfl tries to clinch but Slyker moves out of range.
Hipfl tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Slyker paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Slyker avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Slyker misses with an elbow strike.
Slyker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Hipfl stands and throws Slyker's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Hipfl tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Hipfl has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Slyker managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hipfl.
Hipfl goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Slyker has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Hipfl but great work by Slyker.

Hipfl tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Slyker presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!

Slyker tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Hipfl working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Slyker has passed into half guard!

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hipfl has his foot on Slyker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Slyker works his way back into a safe position though.
Slyker decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Slyker swats away the attempt to clinch by Hipfl.
Slyker misses with a few strikes there.
Slyker scores with a sloppy right hand. Hipfl should have avoided that one.

Hipfl keeps control of Slyker as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Nice sprawl there from Slyker as Hipfl shoots in.
Slyker connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hipfl. Hipfl circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Mirko Hipfl has been cut.
Hipfl tries to clinch up but Slyker circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hipfl looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Slyker lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Nice combo by Slyker! Oh, that's hurt him - Hipfl falls to the canvas and Slyker follows him into side control.

Hipfl seems to have got his legs back now.
Hipfl seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Slyker shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Hipfl is backing up but Slyker catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Hipfl covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Slyker Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Slyker!
