Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Shael Connen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Swano!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swano throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Connen misses with a takedown
and Swano counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Swano rushes Connen and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Swano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Connen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Swano pinned against the cage. Swano gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Connen.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shael Connen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Swano will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Swano lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Connen out cold! Connen is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
