The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballantyne dips to his left and cracks Darnielle with an uppercut!
Darnielle moves out of range as Ballantyne throws a body kick.
Darnielle throws a leg kick but Ballantyne moved away.
Ballantyne dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Darnielle. That did some damage!
Darnielle connects with a solid leg kick.
Darnielle moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Darnielle has Ballantyne up against the cage in a clinch.

Darnielle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ballantyne doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ballantyne manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Darnielle pushes a forearm under Ballantyne's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Ballantyne is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

John Darnielle really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that BLKOUT Clothing logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
