Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Peter Knapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donatien Alphonse Francois de Sade (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Knapp comes into the arena with Chevelle - The Red blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Sade shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Knapp defends it nicely.
Knapp pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Knapp throws a chopping leg kick but de Sade manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
de Sade wants to clinch up but Knapp keeps it at a distance.
Knapp throws the left hand but de Sade avoids the punch easily.
de Sade showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Knapp.
Knapp keeps the fight on the outside.
de Sade throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Knapp's waist but Knapp gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing de Sade off to one side.
de Sade tries to close the distance and clinch up but Knapp swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and de Sade decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Knapp's guard.

de Sade shoots in looking for a takedown. Knapp tries to sprawl out of it but de Sade keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Knapp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Knapp feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits de Sades jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

de Sade feints a jab promting Knapp to slip. de Sade then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Knapp slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Knapp throws an overhand right that lands on de Sade's shoulder, as de Sade tries to avoid the shot.

Peter Knapp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Knapp throws a low kick but de Sade moves out of range easily.
Knapp throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
de Sade lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Knapp tries to hold on but de Sade postures up.

Knapp is pressed up against the cage. de Sade has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Knapp down to the mat. Knapp avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Peter Knapp.
