Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Alexander Nelson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nelson pinned against the cage. Nelson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Nelson looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Nelson wants to pass the guard but Smith is defending well.
Smith wants to get back to his feet.
Smith on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.

Nelson slips a nice elbow through Smith's hands, connecting with Smith's forehead.

Nelson is nestled in close to Smith, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nelson lands a nice short elbow.

Nelson winds up and cracks Smith with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Nelson creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Nelson works to advance to full mount. Smith defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Oooooh, big shot lands for Nelson! Smith is hurt baaadly! Nelson is firing away with more strikes - Smith is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alexander Nelson!
Alexander Nelson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
