Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Jr Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Macelroy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James Macelroy looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Anderson Jr Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, James Macelroy! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Emerson Jorge and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed right hand from Macelroy misses the target. Macelroy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Silva quickly recovers to half guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Macelroy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Silva tries to roll over but Macelroy keeps him under control. Macelroy performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Macelroy prevents Silva from improving his position.
The ref stands the fighters back up. James Macelroy was stalling too much, according to the referee. Macelroy jabs Silva to the body, keeping him at a distance. Silva looks to clinch and Macelroy counters with a takedown into side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Macelroy controlling the position from side mount. Silva is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Macelroy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Macelroy avoids the strikes from the bottom by Silva. Macelroy happy to just control the position for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by James Macelroy. Silva throws a nice looking combination but Macelroy bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Silva tries for a takedown but Macelroy sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Macelroy shoots in and gets a takedown into Silva's guard. Macelroy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Silva looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Macelroy advances to half guard. Silva looks like he's trying to stand up.
Silva is breathing heavily. Macelroy passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Silva! Macelroy controlling the position easily from mount. Silva might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Macelroy's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Silva is wriggling around trying to escape.
Macelroy takes Silva's back. Macelroy keeps control of the position as Silva tries to break free.
Macelroy sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Silva taps out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). James Macelroy! Our winner, James Macelroy, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
