Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Raymore Ardonia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mirko Raymore Ardonia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Paul Harris! The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Harris shoots in and drives through. Ardonia sprawls well. Ardonia fails to land with a series of punches.
Harris walks into a jab.
It looks like Paul Harris has been cut. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Harris. Ardonia shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Harris eats them both and turns towards Ardonia to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Danga de danga de dang - Ardonia scores with a four punch combination! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ardonia tries to bum rush Harris with a series of wild strikes but Harris uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Harris will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Mirko Raymore Ardonia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Harris. Ardonia throws a right hand that Harris ducks under and follows up with a left that Harris also avoids with ease. Ardonia scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Harris is rocked! Harris misses the shot to the body. Ardonia slips under a jab. Ardonia lands a jab to the nose. Harris is trying desperately to land a takedown but Ardonia is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Harris.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ardonia throws a right hand that Harris ducks under and follows up with a left that Harris also avoids with ease. Ardonia connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Ardonia looks to score with a jab to the body but Harris is just out of range. Mirko Raymore Ardonia is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Ardonia throws a series of punches but Harris avoids them all with ease. Mirko Raymore Ardonia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Harris tries for a takedown but Ardonia sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Harris fails with the takedown. Harris dodges the punch combination from Ardonia.
Ardonia throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Harris. Harris throws a leg kick but Ardonia sees it coming and checks it nicely. Ardonia looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Ardonia loads up on a big right hand but Harris slips the punch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A slow jab from Harris misses its intended target. Harris slips a jab and a cross from Ardonia.
Ardonia bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Ardonia gets caught napping as Harris dives in and scores a takedown. Ardonia manages to retain guard. Harris in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Harris content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Ardonia on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Ardonia tries to get out of the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Harris in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Harris chips away with some ground and pound. Harris trying to control but Ardonia is working from the bottom. Harris with a flurry of punches that miss. Harris working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Ardonia is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Harris is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Harris throwing strikes from guard but Ardonia blocks nicely. Ardonia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harris on the ground. Ardonia looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Harris's corner is telling him to maintain position. Harris postures up.
Harris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ardonia swivels though and keeps the full guard. Harris drops back looking for a leg! Ardonia is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ardonia manages to kick Harris off! Harris jumps back into Ardonia's guard. Harris postures up and lands a big shot to Ardonia's brow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Harris throws a big right hand that misses. Harris stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ardonia swivels though and keeps the full guard. Harris is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Ardonia has momentary wrist control but Harris slips an elbow through the middle. Ardonia keeping moving, preventing Harris from controlling successfully. Harris wants to pass the guard but Ardonia is keeping the position. Harris stands up over Ardonia, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Harris missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ardonia is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Ardonia throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mirko Raymore Ardonia will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Paul Harris's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Harris manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Ardonia on his heels. He'll look to pass Ardonia's guard now, I'm sure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Harris throwing strikes from guard but Ardonia blocks nicely. Harris throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ardonia works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Ardonia not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mirko Raymore Ardonia wasn't doing enough on the ground. Ardonia scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Mirko Raymore Ardonia is winning the standup battle so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harris tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Harris avoids a punch combination nicely.

Harris looks to throw the jab but Ardonia is out of range. Harris tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ardonia swivels and escapes. Harris keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Harris looks for a takedown but Ardonia sprawls well. Mirko Raymore Ardonia is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Harris scores with a leg kick.

A looping hook to the body misses from Ardonia. Harris does a little dance to reset his feet. Harris fails with a takedown attempt. Mirko Raymore Ardonia has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Paul Harris. Harris will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Harris connects with a nice looking jab.

Ardonia is fighting to maintain full guard but Harris has managed to sneak the leg through. Harris in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ardonia tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Harris!
