Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Miran!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kill Shot!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Roger Salmon and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shot tries to land a body kick

and Miran counters with a series of strikes that sends Shot to the canvas! Miran follows down into guard, looking to finish the fight!


Shot is rocked!
Miran has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Miran wants to stand but Shot has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Miran accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Shot has eaten all the pies!

Miran stands up and waves to Shot to follow him.
Miran will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miran looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Miran throws a right and a left that both miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Shot misses with the body kick
and Miran counters with a one-two to the body.
Miran misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Miran misses with a two punch combination.
Miran scores with a one two! Shot had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.


It looks like Kill Shot has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Some wild striking there from Miran.
Shot misses with a series of wild punches.
Miran misses with a two punch combination.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Miran tries to bum rush Shot with a series of wild strikes but Shot uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Miran throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sloppy strikes from Miran. Those never looked like landing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Luke Miran dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kill Shot's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Miran's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Miran duly obliges.
Shot swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shot falls off balance throwing a combination
and Miran counters with a three punch combo that has Shot backing up. Shot nods at Miran to acknowledge the strikes.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Miran misses with a few strikes there.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Miran drops Shot with a left right combo! Miran follows him down to the ground into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miran is trying to ground and pound but Shot uses the momentary lack of control by Miran to regain half guard.
Miran misses with a head shot. Shot uses the momentum to regain guard.

Miran postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Shot is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Miran, into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Miran is looking to stand up but Shot isn't so interested in that idea.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Shot wants to get up but he can't break Miran's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Shot is standing up over Miran. Miran looks to escape but Shot dives into side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Miran is pushing Shot's head away, looking to escape. Shot manages to hold on to the position though.
Miran tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Shot wants to stand up but he's not done so very carefully and Miran has pulled Shot into his guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Shot won't allow Miran to get back to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Shot throws the kick towards the body but Miran avoids it.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Miran misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Miran slips a jab and a cross from Shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Miran misses with a series of wild punches.
Miran throws a series of punches but Shot avoids them all with ease.
Miran tries to bum rush Shot with a series of wild strikes but Shot uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Luke Miran showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Miran has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
