Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Horo Ihiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brooklyn Harmony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooklyn Harmony has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Horo Ihiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brooklyn Harmony!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Sosuke Kotani and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harmony moves out of range of the body kick.
Harmony fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ihiro lands with a nice body kick.
Harmony avoids the head kick by Ihiro.
Harmony tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Harmony looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ihiro is fending him off so far but Harmony persists. Nope, Ihiro circles away and we're back to standing.

Harmony scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Ihiro is trying to control but can't.
Ihiro wants to improve his position but Harmony is controlling well.
Harmony wants to pass to mount but Ihiro is defending the position.
Harmony prevents Ihiro from improving his position.
Harmony is taking a breather. Ihiro says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Harmony is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ihiro is just riding it out for now. Harmony eventually gives up the hold.

Harmony prevents Ihiro from improving his position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ihiro misses the jab.
Ihiro throws and low kick but Harmony moves out of range easily.
Ihiro throws the kick towards the body but Harmony avoids it.
Harmony has a takedown stuffed.
Horo Ihiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brooklyn Harmony.

Harmony darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Ihiro is breathing heavily.
Harmony is thwarting Ihiro's attempts to control the position.

Harmony is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Harmony is taking a breather. Ihiro says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Harmony slips a nice elbow through Ihiro's hands, connecting with Ihiro's forehead.

Harmony stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Ihiro to get to his feet.
Harmony lunges at Ihiro with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ihiro's hand.
Harmony shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Ihiro as he jumps to the side.
Harmony misses with a takedown attempt - Ihiro sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Ihiro clinches with his opponent.

Harmony breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harmony shoots in for a double leg but Ihiro sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Harmony feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Ihiro sprawling to the canvas! Ihiro rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Harmony finish him?!


Ihiro is rocked!


It looks like Horo Ihiro has been cut.

Harmony shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Ihiro's guard.
Oh Ihiro is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Ihiro can't keep his opponent in guard - Harmony advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Harmony is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ihiro is just riding it out for now. Harmony eventually gives up the hold.

Harmony seems to be working for a kimura but Ihiro defends the submission attempt.
Ihiro seems to have got his legs back now.
Ihiro regains full guard. Nicely done.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Harmony trying to control but Ihiro is working from the bottom.
Ihiro tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Ihiro is trying to control the position but Harmony postures up.
Harmony wants to control from the top but Ihiro keeps moving.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Harmony postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Harmony trying to control but Ihiro is working from the bottom.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Harmony shoots in but Ihiro avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Harmony shoots in but no luck this time.
A choreographed right hand from Ihiro misses the target.
Ihiro stuffs the takedown attempt from Harmony. Harmony gets slowly back to his feet.
A nice leg kick lands there from Ihiro.
Ihiro shoots in but Harmony avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Harmony shoots and misses
and Ihiro counters with a nice low kick that buckles Harmony's knee momentarily.

Harmony closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Harmony controlling the action here.
Harmony is trying to control the action in half guard but Ihiro is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brooklyn Harmony dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Horo Ihiro's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Harmony is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Harmony is working for a kimura but Ihiro is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are battling for position here. Ihiro manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Ihiro is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Harmony wants to pass the guard but Ihiro is keeping the position.

Ihiro has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Harmony can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Harmony drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Harmony as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Ihiro screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Harmony! Nice submission victory there!
