Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gianpaolo Cassano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rafael Silva!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva is looking to clinch.
Cassano throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
A punch combination from Cassano misses.

Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Cassano lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Silva circles away quickly and effectively.
Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Cassano.
Cassano missing with a left hand there. Silva was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Cassano throws a right and a left that both miss.
Cassano misses with an uppercut.
Cassano circles away from the clinch attempt
and Cassano counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Cassano swats away the attempt to clinch by Silva.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Cassano swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A punch lands to the side of Silva 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Cassano rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Silva moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Cassano circles away.
Silva moves in looking to clinch but Cassano pushes him off.
Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Cassano counters with a nice body kick.
Cassano misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cassano lands a big head kick that sends Silva tumbling to the mat! Cassano takes a step backwards and waves Silva back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Silva is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Cassano looks to land a body kick but Silva moved away.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Cassano finish him?
Cassano looks to land a right hand but Silva moved out of range.
Cassano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Silva walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Silva limp body while Cassano jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gianpaolo Cassano!
