Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stefan Pruvhe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marion Polk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Stefan Pruvhe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marion Polk! The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pruvhe has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Polk. Polk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Polk lands with a right hand. Pruvhe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Pruvhe trying to control the position from guard on top but Polk is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pruvhe thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Pruvhe works a leg free and moves into half guard. Pruvhe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Polk's head. Pruvhe lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Polk tries to roll over but Pruvhe keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pruvhe is looking for a kimura but Polk is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pruvhe to get the leverage. Pruvhe stops Polk from getting back to his feet.
Polk on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Pruvhe not landing any meaningful shots this time. Pruvhe is working for a submission of some sort.

Pruvhe has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pruvhe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Polk keeps working. Pruvhe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Polk defends it well. Pruvhe lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Polk taking some punishment here, with Pruvhe in his half guard. Pruvhe passes to full mount! Pruvhe throwing strikes here but Polk is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Pruvhe goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Polk is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pruvhe bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Polk's guard. Pruvhe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Pruvhe is looking to work some ground and pound but Polk has wrist control. Polk wants to stand up but Pruvhe is controlling him. Pruvhe in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pruvhe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pruvhe slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Pruvhe working the ground and pound but Polk is defending the strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stefan Pruvhe dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Polk misses with a right hand and Pruvhe counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pruvhe. Pruvhe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Pruvhe wants to pass the guard but Polk is keeping the position. Pruvhe postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Pruvhe throws a strike but Polk rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Pruvhe utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Polk would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Stefan Pruvhe overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pruvhe is trying to control the position but Polk postures up. Polk avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Polk must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Pruvhe is pulling down on Polk's head. It's preventing any offense from Polk, at least for the moment. Pruvhe controls Polk momentarily but Polk frees himself. Polk passes Pruvhe's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Pruvhe kicks Polk off and gets back to his feet. Polk throws a jab when Pruvhe was well out of range.

Nice sprawl there from Polk as Pruvhe shoots in. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Polk tries to bum rush Pruvhe with a series of wild strikes but Pruvhe uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Marion Polk is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Polk misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Polk misses with a looping right. Pruvhe takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Pruvhe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Polk is fending him off so far but Pruvhe persists. Nope, Polk circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Polk swings away with a body shot that misses
and Pruvhe counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Polk makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Polk throws a head kick that misses. Polk's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pruvhe connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Polk scrambles back to his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Pruvhe is defended easily by Polk. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Stefan Pruvhe. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pruvhe slips a straight right by Polk. Pruvhe moves out of range of the strikes. Polk connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A slow jab from Polk misses its intended target. Marion Polk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Danga de danga de dang - Polk scores with a four punch combination! Pruvhe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Polk's waist but Polk gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pruvhe off to one side. Polk throws a half hearted mid kick. Pruvhe defending well as Polk loads up on a big left hand. Polk looks to score with a jab to the body but Pruvhe is just out of range. Polk jabs Pruvhe to the body, keeping him at a distance. A telegraphed right hand from Polk misses the target. A punch combination from Polk misses. Jab, jab by Pruvhe - just one landing. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Polk throws an overhand right that lands on Pruvhe's shoulder, as Pruvhe tries to avoid the shot. Pruvhe lands with an overhand left. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stefan Pruvhe dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Polk throws a wild body kick that Pruvhe sees coming a mile off. Pruvhe swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Polk lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

The fighters circle momentarily. Pruvhe darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Pruvhe throws a lazy right hand but Polk sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Polk rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Pruvhe moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Polk throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pruvhe. Polk throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pruvhe takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Stefan Pruvhe has been cut. Polk takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Pruvhe shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Pruvhe was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Pruvhe is landing with some decent strikes but Polk is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Pruvhe punishing his opponent with strikes. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pruvhe working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Polk is rocked! Pruvhe working Polk over with strikes here. Polk is still in real trouble! Can Pruvhe finish him? Pruvhe postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Polk in real trouble here! The ref calls for Polk to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Stefan Pruvhe! A pretty intense looking Stefan Pruvhe took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
