Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Solomon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Chaz Elliott! The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Elliott closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Elliott lands in his opponent's guard. Solomon can't keep his opponent in guard - Elliott advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Elliott content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Elliott throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elliott not landing any meaningful shots this time. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Elliott in particular looking to stall. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Elliott stands up and beckons Solomon to join him on the feet. Elliott moves into range and clinches up with Solomon. Elliott gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Solomon regains guard.
Elliott controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Elliott trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elliott slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Chaz Elliott has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Solomon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Solomon throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Elliott's head. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Solomon throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Elliott counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Elliott. Elliott gets a trip takedown into half guard. Elliott controlling the action here. Solomon is breathing heavily. Let's hope that Elliott has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Elliott winds up and cracks Solomon with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Elliott keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chaz Elliott. Solomon clinches up with Elliott and pushes him back against the cage. Elliott is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Solomon pulls him back up using the underhooks. Elliott jumps guard but Solomon stands there with Elliott around his waist. Elliott gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Will Solomon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chaz Elliott. Solomon wants a takedown but no success here.

Elliott is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Solomon is controlling him. Elliott looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chaz Elliott dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Solomon looks to clinch and Elliott counters with a head kick. Elliott shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Solomon sprawls well. Solomon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Elliott gets slowly back to his feet. Solomon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Elliott manages to avoid it. Solomon misses with a jab, cross combination.
Solomon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Elliott swats him away and circles back towards the center. Elliott fails with the takedown. Elliott is trying hard to land a takedown here. Solomon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Will Solomon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chaz Elliott. Solomon wants to clinch up but Elliott keeps it at a distance. Chaz Elliott seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Elliott showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Solomon.
Will Solomon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Solomon tries to clinch and Elliott counters with a nice double leg into side control. Solomon won't be happy with that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elliott is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Solomon will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Solomon wants to get back to his feet but Elliott drags him back down. Elliott remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Elliott tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Elliott decides to stand back up. Solomon keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. No luck for Elliott with that takedown attempt. Solomon tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Elliott paws at him with a jab and circles away. Elliott shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Elliott seems content to control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chaz Elliott. Sloppy strikes from Solomon. Those never looked like landing. Elliott drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Elliott scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Elliott engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Solomon keeping moving, preventing Elliott from controlling successfully. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chaz Elliott was stalling too much, according to the referee. Elliott shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Solomon as he jumps to the side. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chaz Elliott showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Solomon lands a high kick!
Elliott feints and as Solomon raises his hands in defense, Elliott changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Elliott postures up in Solomon's guard and throws a big left but Solomon blocks it. Elliott prevents Solomon from getting back to his feet. Elliott sitting in guard here, content to control.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Elliott misses with a takedown attempt - Solomon sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Elliott shoots in for a takedown but Solomon shows good takedown defense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Elliott drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Solomon is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Elliott is controlling him well. Elliott controlling from side mount. Elliott trying to control the position but Solomon is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Elliott is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Solomon has escaped the position, nice work there. Elliott thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Elliott in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Solomon takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Solomon is trying to get back to his feet. Elliott connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Solomon some visible discomfort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Solomon prevents Elliott from moving into mount. Elliott taking a breather here. Elliott has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Elliott works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
And that's the end of the fight! Chaz Elliott comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Elliott winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
