Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mina Samson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Samson has chosen Soliders logic as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The key to victory for Chris Hardy has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy is looking to clinch.
Hardy takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
A swing and a miss from Samson.
Samson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Samson misses with a double jab.
Hardy shoots in but Samson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Samson throws a solid leg kick but Hardy takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Samson.
Hardy lands a nice shot that snaps Samson's head back.
Hardy keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Hardy moves in looking to clinch but Samson pushes him off.

and Samson counters with a takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hardy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Samson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Samson tries to free his leg and advance position but Hardy is retaining full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Hardy clobbers Samson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Samson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hardy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Hardy throws a right hand that Samson ducks under and follows up with a left that Samson also avoids with ease.
Hardy connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

and Samson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hardy won't be happy with that.

Samson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hardy is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Samson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
