Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gypsy Jiu Jitsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrence Uranium (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lawrence Uranium is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gypsy Jiu Jitsu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Lawrence Uranium!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Uranium does no damage.
Uranium closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Uranium manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Uranium blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Jiu Jitsu trying to control the position but instead, Uranium has worked for underhooks and has pushed Jiu Jitsu into the cage.
Uranium pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Jiu Jitsu dips to his left and cracks Uranium with an uppercut!
Uranium lands with an uppercut that bounces Jiu Jitsu off the cage and back into range.
Uranium lands a head kick. Jiu Jitsu smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Uranium closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Uranium lands in his opponent's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jiu Jitsu pulls Uranium in close to his closed guard and prevents Uranium from doing any damage or advancing position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Gypsy Jiu Jitsu wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Uranium looking to sit in guard and control but Jiu Jitsu gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Jiu Jitsu stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Uranium swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Uranium is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Jiu Jitsu forces his way into half guard.
Uranium has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jiu Jitsu is working away from the top position though.
Jiu Jitsu is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Uranium is just riding it out for now. Jiu Jitsu eventually gives up the hold.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Uranium wants to get back to full guard.

A close round but Lawrence Uranium will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Jiu Jitsu throws a lazy uppercut
and Uranium counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Uranium has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jiu Jitsu clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Uranium is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Jiu Jitsu is defending well though. Uranium let's go of the attempt for now.
Uranium is trying to stick to Jiu Jitsu's back but Jiu Jitsu is turning into Uranium. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Uranium's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Jiu Jitsu.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jiu Jitsu wants to pass the guard but Uranium is keeping the position.
Uranium really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jiu Jitsu. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Uranium wants to sweep here but Jiu Jitsu controlling him for the moment.
Uranium controls Jiu Jitsu momentarily but Jiu Jitsu frees himself.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Uranium stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jiu Jitsu.
Jiu Jitsu shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Uranium's guard.
Jiu Jitsu advances to half guard.

Jiu Jitsu is working for a kimura but Uranium is defending it quite comfortably.

Gypsy Jiu Jitsu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
