Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Harold Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Karuniuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Harold Price!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Robert Karuniuk!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, George Francis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horrible takedown by Karuniuk or perhaps it was just good defense by Price which made him look bad.
Price fails to land with a series of punches.
Price misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Karuniuk.
No joy there for Price, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Karuniuk shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Price counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Karuniuk has his takedown stuffed
and Karuniuk takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Harold Price has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Karuniuk.

Price gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Price throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Karuniuk tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Price is in Karuniuk's guard.

Karuniuk can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Price controls the pace.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Karuniuk stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Price swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Karuniuk is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Robert Karuniuk has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
