Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Crusher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Dave Edwards! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Paul Aken and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Edwards doesn't manage to clinch there - Crusher circles away.
Edwards takes the fight into the clinch. Edwards breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Crusher takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Edwards has taken the fight to the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the ropes, as the pace of the fight slows. Edwards receives a warning from the referee for stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crusher wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Edwards manages to break the clinch.
Crusher wants to clinch up but Edwards keeps it at a distance. Edwards throws a solid leg kick but Crusher takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Edwards. Crusher fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Edwards fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Crusher, pushing him back against the ropes. Edwards keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Crusher's efforts to push away. Edwards is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Crusher wants to break the clinch but can't.
Edwards tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Edwards breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Edwards tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. John Crusher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards instigates a clinch. Crusher wants to get back to striking at distance but Edwards won't allow it.

and Crusher counters by moving into the clinch.

Edwards moves in looking to clinch but Crusher pushes him off. Edwards tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Crusher paws at him with a jab and circles away. Crusher circles away from the clinch attempt.
Edwards throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Crusher counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Edwards controlling the action here for a moment.
Edwards lands a glancing elbow in the clinch. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Edwards. Edwards tries to throw a body punch but Crusher avoids it by throwing Edwards back against the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Edwards takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Edwards escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Edwards moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
It looks like John Crusher has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Edwards gets in close and instigates a clinch. Edwards escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Crusher darts in trying to clinch and Edwards counters by moving into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edwards has Crusher pressed against the ropes, preventing Crusher from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Crusher dodges an elbow strike from Edwards.

Crusher tries to clinch up. Edwards tries to bum rush Crusher with a series of wild strikes but Crusher uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Edwards throws a good cross that connects.
Edwards lands with a nice body punch. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Edwards fails to land with a series of punches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Edwards tries to clinch but Crusher moves out of range. Edwards misses with a body kick. A slow jab from Edwards misses its intended target. Edwards wants to clinch. Edwards moves into range and clinches up with Crusher. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Edwards pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Dave Edwards showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on John Crusher's cut. That's time! Crusher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Edwards pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Edwards throws a sloppy head kick and Crusher moves out of range easily. The fight stays on the outside here - Edwards looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Crusher avoids the head kick by Edwards.
Dave Edwards seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Edwards has closed the distance and engaged Crusher in a clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! Dave Edwards comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Edwards has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
