Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kevin Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Westworth!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Steven Brown and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Westworth pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Miller back to the cage. Westworth follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
A decent looking cross lands there for Westworth.
Miller takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Westworth lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
A jab from Westworth does it's job there.
Westworth throws out a powerful jab.
Nice takedown defense from Westworth. No joy for Miller on that attempt.
Westworth throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Miller stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Westworth takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Westworth is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Miller darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Miller thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Westworth is looking for a sweep. Miller is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Miller seems to be looking for submissions.

Miller controlling the action here.
Miller landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Miller content to control rather than advance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Westworth blocking the ground and pound attempt from Miller.
Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Miller in particular looking to stall.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller is keen to just control but Westworth is a slippery customer.
Miller throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Miller lands a nice short elbow.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Westworth avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Miller.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Miller uses his free foot to push down on Westworth's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Westworth.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Miller shoots in and drives through. Westworth sprawls well.
Westworth lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Westworth lands a right hook to the body.
Miller shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Westworth as he avoids it easily.
Kevin Miller is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Miller.

Westworth cracks Miller with a good jab.
Westworth lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Westworth slaps away a takedown attempt from Miller, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Miller takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Matt Westworth is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Westworth connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Miller walks into a stiff left hand from Westworth.
Miller shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Westworth pinned against the cage. Westworth gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A shot to the liver by Westworth. Beautiful body shot.

Miller gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Horrible takedown by Miller or perhaps it was just good defense by Westworth which made him look bad.

Miller shoots for a takedown but Westworth saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Westworth lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Miller circles away quickly and effectively.
Miller fails to land the takedown.
Westworth scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Matt Westworth showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Westworth jabs Miller to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Miller tries to move into range but Westworth moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A left and a right from Westworth both land. Nice combination.
Miller gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Matt Westworth seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Miller closes the distance and clinches up with Westworth, looking for a takedown. Miller pushes Westworth against the cage but Westworth circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Miller shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Westworth as he avoids it easily.

Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Westworth!
Miller has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Westworth stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Westworth connects with a nice looking jab.
Westworth scores with a crisp jab that stopped Miller in his tracks.
Miller doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Westworth will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Miller's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Westworth connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Miller scrambles back to his feet.
Miller moves forwards but Westworth connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Westworth connects with a right hand. Miller shakes it off.

Miller shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Westworth throws a combination. Miller tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Westworth lands a glancing blow to the side of Miller's head.
Westworth connects with a single shot there.
Miller tries to move into range but Westworth moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Westworth rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miller moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
A shot to the liver by Westworth. Beautiful body shot.
Westworth fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Miller on the side of the head.
Westworth fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Westworth moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Westworth looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

And that's the end of the fight!
Matt Westworth comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Westworth has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Matt Westworth spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
