Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mathew Winzer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sasom Khumthai!
The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Winzer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Khumthai's waist but Khumthai gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Winzer off to one side.
Winzer fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Khumthai stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Khumthai wants it to stay on the feet.

Winzer tries to pull guard but Khumthai holds him up against the ropes and eventually Winzer drops back down to his feet.

Winzer jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Khumthai walks away with a smile on his face. Winzer gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Khumthai tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Winzer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Winzer counters with a shoot takedown. Khumthai fights it but they end up in guard.
Winzer wants to pass the guard but Khumthai is keeping the position.

Khumthai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Winzer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
