The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filler waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Medley .
Medley throws a solid leg kick but Filler takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Medley .

Medley uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Filler.
Medley uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Filler.
A telegraphed right hand from Medley misses the target.
Filler misses with a series of wild punches.
No joy there for Filler, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Filler misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Filler misses with a shot to the body
and Medley counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Filler is breathing heavily.

Filler throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Filler throws the left hand but Medley avoids the punch easily.
Filler keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Medley .
Space Filler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Medley plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
It looks like Space Filler has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Medley paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Medley feints and then cracks Filler's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Filler down.

John Medley decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
