Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcello Cobretti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Birchhood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cobretti's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, White Zombie - Black Sunshine . Max Birchhood told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cobretti shoots in and gets a takedown into Birchhood's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Birchhood has an active guard here but Cobretti has managed to pass into half guard.
Cobretti content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

Birchhood looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Birchhood has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cobretti is working away from the top position though.
Cobretti is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Cobretti working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Birchhood has left one of his arms exposed and Cobretti doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Birchhood screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
