The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Steele is defended easily by Rodriguez.
Steele shoots for a takedown but Rodriguez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Steele shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Rodriguez counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Rodriguez prevents Steele from improving his position.
