Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Hopkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Louie Resto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hopkins comes into the arena with "Here Comes The Hotstepper" By Ini Kamoze blaring out of the sound system. Louie Resto is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Sergei Dronov and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins keeps the fight on the outside.
Hopkins misses with a looping right.
A big right from Hopkins misses.

Hopkins cracks Resto with an uppercut from hell and Resto crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Hopkins's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

It looks like Louie Resto has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Hopkins is looking to stand up but Resto won't let him.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Hopkins wants to stand and escape but instead Resto has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Resto stops Hopkins from standing up.
Hopkins knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Resto on the ground.

Resto gets to his feet - Hopkins follows without any prompting.
Hopkins throws a nice looking combination but Resto bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hopkins throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Resto counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Resto throws a right and a left that Hopkins avoids nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hopkins rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Resto moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hopkins throws the left hand but Resto avoids the punch easily.

Hopkins drops Resto with a nice combination! Hopkins dives into Resto's guard, looking to finish!

Resto is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Resto uses the ropes to get back to his feet.
Resto is still on wobbly legs! Can Hopkins finish him?
Hopkins throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Resto stumbling backwards into the ropes! Resto bounces back off the ropes towards Hopkins, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Hopkins lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Hopkins celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Jimmy Hopkins!
A relieved looking Jimmy Hopkins thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
