The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nuts misses with a series of wild punches.
Nuts throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Destroyer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Destroyer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nuts is trying to escape the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Destroyer jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Nuts is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Nuts and Destroyer has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Destroyer tries for a kimura but Nuts is defending well.
Destroyer is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nuts has escaped the position, nice work there.
Destroyer goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nuts rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Destroyer's guard! Nice work there by Nuts!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nuts has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Destroyer to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Nuts is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Destroyer pulls down on the head and he's put Nuts to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). King Destroyer!
