Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rainier Wolfcastle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rainier Wolfcastle!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Frank Dennis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Thompson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Mike Thompson has been cut.
Thompson lands a head kick. Wolfcastle smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Thompson takes a shot right to the bread basket.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Wolfcastle finds Thompson's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Thompson flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Wolfcastle lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Thompson will be OK.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Rainier Wolfcastle!
