Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason Krovitzky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sunny Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Krovitzky comes into the arena with Bliss N Eso - Addicted blaring out of the sound system. Sunny Balboa looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jason Krovitzky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sunny Balboa! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Balboa fails with the takedown and Krovitzky counters with a series of strikes. Balboa will be more careful next time no doubt. Krovitzky moves in looking to clinch but Balboa pushes him off. Balboa with a lazy takedown attempt and Krovitzky counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Balboa looks winded! Balboa with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Krovitzky to score with a decent uppercut.
It looks like Sunny Balboa has been cut. Nice takedown defense from Balboa. No joy for Krovitzky on that attempt. Balboa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Krovitzky throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Balboa. A punch combination from Krovitzky misses. Krovitzky has managed to clinch.
Krovitzky lands with a short head shot on the inside. Balboa managing to block the knees to the body from Krovitzky.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Krovitzky breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jason Krovitzky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sunny Balboa. Sloppy strikes from Krovitzky. Those never looked like landing. Krovitzky tries to clinch but Balboa is having none of it. Krovitzky moves in looking to clinch but Balboa pushes him off. Krovitzky misses with a takedown attempt - Balboa sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Balboa avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Balboa throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Krovitzky counters with a straight right hand. Balboa takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
The fight stays on the outside here - Krovitzky looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Balboa moves into the clinch successfully.
Krovitzky lands an elbow just above Balboa 's eye. A short uppercut from Krovitzky. This has been an exciting period of action! Balboa misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Krovitzky.

Balboa takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Krovitzky clinches up against the cage. Krovitzky tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Balboa avoids it. Krovitzky manages to break the clinch.

Krovitzky pushes Balboa against the cage but Balboa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Krovitzky closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Krovitzky jumps guard and drags Balboa to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Krovitzky wants to stand but Balboa is controlling the position. Krovitzky uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Good shot there by Krovitzky. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Krovitzky lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Balboa backs up against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Krovitzky works Balboa's body with a nice hook. Krovitzky goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Krovitzky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Krovitzky tries to clinch up and Balboa counters with a right hand to the body. Jason Krovitzky is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Krovitzky drives through with a takedown into Balboa's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Krovitzky wants to stand but Balboa has a closed guard, so he can't escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Balboa looking to control.
Balboa is working an open guard so Krovitzky takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Krovitzky throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Balboa's waist but Balboa gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Krovitzky off to one side. Balboa is breathing heavily. Krovitzky stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Krovitzky wants it to stay on the feet. Krovitzky is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Krovitzky tries for a takedown but Balboa sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Krovitzky tries to clinch but Balboa is having none of it. Balboa drives through and clinches with Krovitzky against the cage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Krovitzky looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Krovitzky gets to his feet - Balboa follows without any prompting. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Krovitzky darts in and clinches Balboa up against the cage. Krovitzky breaks from the clinch.

Krovitzky ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Krovitzky no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Krovitzky will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Balboa is looking to stand up but Krovitzky won't let him. Krovitzky pushes Balboa off and scrambles back to his feet.
Balboa keeps the fight on the outside. Balboa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Krovitzky paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Krovitzky looking to score a takedown here. Balboa is defending well but Krovitzky drives through and ends up in Balboa's guard. Krovitzky is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Balboa can do to turn this around? Krovitzky is looking to stand up but Balboa won't let him. Krovitzky stands up and waves to Balboa to follow him. Krovitzky misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Balboa eats them both and turns towards Krovitzky to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Krovitzky is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Balboa gets tackled into the cage by Krovitzky. Krovitzky maintains the clinch. Krovitzky landing knees to the body.
Krovitzky's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Krovitzky shoots in for a double leg but Balboa sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
