Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mek Ju (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nickolay Katorjnov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mek Ju! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
23 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nickolay Katorjnov! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ju avoids the head kick by Katorjnov.
Katorjnov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Katorjnov throws a left and a right that both miss
and Ju counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Ju throws a series of punches but Katorjnov moves out of range. A left and a right from Katorjnov both land. Nice combination. Katorjnov swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Katorjnov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ju slips a jab and a cross from Katorjnov.
Ju misses with a double jab.
Katorjnov misses with a head kick.
Katorjnov tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Left hook, right uppercut from Katorjnov. A nice leg kick lands there from Katorjnov. Katorjnov looks to land a combination but Ju avoids it well. Katorjnov has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Ju finds it's way round the side to connect with Katorjnov's head. Katorjnov thuds a left hand into Ju's body. Ju misses with a two punch combination.
Nickolay Katorjnov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Katorjnov throws a head kick that misses and Ju counters into the clinch. Nicely done. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ju tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A knee to the head by Ju.
Katorjnov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ju clinches up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice elbow from Ju. Ju missing with knees to the body.
Katorjnov avoids a wild elbow strike from Ju. Katorjnov takes an elbow to the forehead. Katorjnov tries to circle away but Ju has him pinned against the cage. Katorjnov blocks an elbow strike. Ju keeps control of Katorjnov as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Ju scores with a knee to the head.
Katorjnov wants to get back to striking at distance but Ju won't allow it.
Katorjnov breaks from the clinch.
Ju misses the shot to the body. Katorjnov throws a right hand that Ju ducks under and follows up with a left that Ju also avoids with ease. Ju misses with an uppercut. Katorjnov saw that one coming. Ju feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Katorjnov's calf. Ju pivots, looking for a leg kick but Katorjnov is out of range and Ju settles back down. Katorjnov misses with a combination
and Ju counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Ju crunches a lovely knee into Katorjnov's ribcage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Katorjnov is trying to break the clinch but Ju is controlling him. Katorjnov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ju fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Katorjnov manages to avoid it. Ju takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Ju fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Katorjnov throws a nice looking combination but Ju bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ju throws a body punch but Katorjnov moves out of range. Katorjnov pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Katorjnov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Ju is looking to wear down Katorjnov with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Katorjnov gets tackled into the cage by Ju. Ju maintains the clinch. Katorjnov can't break the clinch.

Ju lands a knee to the body.
Ju connects with a knee to the head.
Ju with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Ju landing knees to the head.
Katorjnov looks winded! Ju prevents Katorjnov from breaking the clinch. Ju comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. Ju connects with a nasty looking knee right to Katorjnov's face.

Ju unloads a knee to the mid-section. Ju lands an elbow just above Katorjnov 's eye. Ju scores with a shot to the side of Katorjnov's head.
Katorjnov is rocked! Ju utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Ju is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Ju lands a damaging elbow. Ju creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Katorjnov's defenses. Katorjnov tries to break the clinch but Ju is controlling the position. Ju lands a nice elbow from the clinch. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Katorjnov working hard to break the clinch. Ju lands a shoulder strike. Ju landing knees to the head.
Katorjnov is still on wobbly legs! Can Ju finish him? Ju lands a right hand. Ju lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Ju lands a big knee! That's hurt Katorjnov! Oh, he's all over the place! Ju lands another knee that sends Katorjnov to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mek Ju! After the fight, Mek Ju was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
