Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Ryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ron Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Delerium - Silence . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
20 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Ryan! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ron Kane! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Luis Engracia and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Kane moves forwards but Ryan connects with a nice, crisp jab.
It looks like Ron Kane has been cut. Ryan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kane sees it coming and avoids it easily. Ryan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kane on the side of the head. Ryan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kane paws at him with a jab and circles away. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ryan tries a head kick but it misses.
Ryan misses with a double jab.
Ryan tries to clinch but Kane is having none of it. Kane avoids the head kick by Ryan.
Ryan connects with an inside leg kick. Ryan misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kane.
Jack Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kane looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Ryan! Kane can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ryan is looking to escape. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kane pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Ryan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Ryan is trying to stand.
Kane is just content to waste time from the top position. Ryan takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Kane loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Ryan wants to get back to his feet but Kane is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kane is looking to work some ground and pound but Ryan has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ryan works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kane trying to control but Ryan is working from the bottom. Kane looking to pass the guard. Kane must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ryan wants to get back to his feet but Kane is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Kane trying to control the position from guard on top but Ryan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kane loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Kane is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Let's hope that Kane has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Ron Kane. Ryan pivots, looking for a leg kick but Kane is out of range and Ryan settles back down. A low kick from Ryan is predictable there and Kane counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
It looks like Jack Ryan has been cut. Ryan moves out of range of the body kick. Kane on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Kane lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Kane keeps the fight on the outside. Ryan lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ryan connects with a nice looking jab.
Jack Ryan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice body kick there by Kane. Ryan is breathing heavily. Ryan throws a leg kick that misses. Kane staying out of range there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ryan moves in looking to clinch but Kane pushes him off. Kane lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Kane is looking to slow Ryan down with leg kicks. Kane cracks the inside of Ryan's front leg. Kane throws a leg kick that misses. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Kane comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Kane bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Ryan is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Kane is working Ryan over with some ground and pound from side control. Kane postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Kane cracks Ryan with an elbow. That is naaassty. Kane trying to control the action but Ryan is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ron Kane dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's time! Back to the action!
Kane throws a nice head kick!
Jack Ryan's cut is getting worse. Kane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ron Kane seems to be getting the better of the standup. Kane keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kane is looking to score with low kicks. Kane throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ryan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kane is in Ryan's guard. Kane wants to control from the top but Ryan keeps moving. Ron Kane has got the better of the ground game so far. Kane trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kane accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kane throwing strikes but missing. Kane controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kane. Ryan keeping full guard, as Kane tries to pass. Kane's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kane works over Ryan with some ground and pound from guard. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Kane. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Ryan looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kane is one step ahead there. Ryan keeping full guard, as Kane tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kane wants to control from the top but Ryan keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane with a flurry of punches that miss. Kane pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ryan is keeping the position for now. Kane is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Kane chips away with some ground and pound.
Jack Ryan's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Jack Ryan's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Ron Kane! Ron Kane is the new heavyweight champion!
