Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tonga Anoai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Gatling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anoai comes to the cage accompanied by Danse Macabre. Gatling has chosen Bleed by Meshuggah as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatling tries to clinch up but Anoai circles away and keeps his distance.
Anoai tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gatling paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Anoai fails with a takedown attempt.
Gatling paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Anoai wants to clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Gatling as Anoai shoots in.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gatling using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Anoai has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Gatling lands an elbow just above Anoai 's eye.
Gatling lands an elbow that stopped Anoai in his tracks for a moment.

Gatling is pressed up against the cage. Anoai has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Gatling down to the mat. Gatling avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tonga Anoai. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Gatling throws a head kick that Anoai semi-blocks.

The fighters circling - Anoai throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Gatling clinches but Anoai breaks the clinch
and Anoai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Anoai clinches up with Gatling and pushes him back against the cage.
Anoai wants to stall.
Gatling landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Gatling throws an elbow but it misses.

Gatling breaks from the clinch.
Anoai swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Gatling forces Anoai back against the cage and clinches.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Gatling just misses with a elbow thrown towards Anoai's brow.
Gatling lands an elbow inside.
Anoai avoids the elbow strike from Gatling, against the cage.
A short right from Gatling on the inside.

Gatling ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Gatling no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gatling is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Gatling controls Anoai momentarily but Anoai frees himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Gatling is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Anoai is breathing heavily.

Gatling wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anoai keeps working.
Gatling is stalling here. Anoai is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gatling seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Anoai has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gatling is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Anoai is staying active.

Despite being in the dominant position, Richard Gatling just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Anoai.
Anoai closes the distance and clinches up with Gatling, looking for a takedown. Anoai pushes Gatling against the cage but Gatling circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Anoai is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Gatling is keeping busy.

Anoai misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Tonga Anoai is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Anoai shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gatling as he avoids it easily.

Anoai fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Anoai changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gatling fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Gatling wants to clinch
and Anoai cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.


It looks like Richard Gatling has been cut.
Anoai rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gatling moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Anoai thuds his right hand into Gatling's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Anoai wants to clinch up but Gatling keeps it at a distance.

Gatling moves out of range of the body kick.

Gatling tries to close the distance and clinch up but Anoai swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gatling tries to lock up and control but Anoai gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Anoai prevents Gatling from getting the reversal.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Anoai controlling the pace for now.

Tonga Anoai showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Anoai has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
