And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Adams!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ball misses with a body shot.
Ball tries a head kick but it misses.

Ball moves into the clinch.

Adams gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Ball regains guard.
Adams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Adams trying to control the position from guard on top but Ball is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Ball holds on and takes a little breather.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ball has control of Adams's left arm, preventing Adams from doing any damage.

Joe Ball has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Ball drops his hands momentarily and Adams takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.


It looks like Joe Ball has been cut.
Adams tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Ball counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Ball drops an elbow to the side of Adams's head.

Ball wants to lay and pray for a moment but Adams keeps working.
Ball will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Adams looking for submissions off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Adams wants to get back to full guard.
Adams is refusing to be controlled, as Ball sits in half guard.
Adams is looking to control Ball's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Adams avoid being mounted?
Ball not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Adams tries to get to full guard but Ball has control of the leg.
Ball seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Adams does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Ball wants to pass the guard but Adams is defending well.
Ball wants to take a breather but Adams is having none of it.
Adams is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ball scores with a couple of nice shots.
Ball throwing shots but Adams is blocking nicely.

Well, if Ball is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ball lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Ball throws a strike but Adams avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Adams is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Ball trying to control but Adams is working from the bottom.
Ball cracks Adams with a solid left hand.
Ball throws a big right hand that misses.
Ball lands a couple of decent looking shots.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ball working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Adams's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ball makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Ball passes Adams's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ball slips a nice elbow through Adams's hands, connecting with Adams's forehead.
Adams is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Adams works his way to full guard. Good work.
Ball working some strikes from top position.
Ball wants to control from the top but Adams keeps moving.
Ball in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Adams escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Ball gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Ball preventing the sweep.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Adams tries to clinch but Ball is having none of it.
Ball shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Adams clinches up against the cage.
Adams blocks an uppercut.
Ball slowing the pace effectively.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Adams gets a trip takedown into half guard.
Adams is looking to take a break and control but Ball is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Adams is working for a kimura but Ball is defending it quite comfortably.

Adams is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Ball works his way to full guard. Good work.
Ball controls Adams momentarily but Adams frees himself.
Ball pulls Adams in close to prevent any damage.

Ball looking for a guillotine here but Adams defends easily.
Ball manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Ball wants to control the pace but Adams is squirming around nicely.
Ball lands a big shot there that rocks Adams but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Adams is squirming around, avoiding Ball's attempts to control the action.
Ball lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Adams tries to hold on but Ball pushes him away.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Ball cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Ball has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Adams's face.

Ball looking to finish Adams with some ground and pound. This is bad for Adams!
Ball cracks Adams with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joe Ball!
