Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brennan Huff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shogun Rua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shogun Rua is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shogun Rua!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua throws a head kick that misses.
Huff keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Huff misses with a body punch

and Rua decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Huff's guard.
Huff looking for a sweep. Not yet Huff, not yet.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rua wants to improve his position but Huff is controlling well.
Huff knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rua on the ground.
Huff looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Rua tries to get to full guard but Huff has control of the leg.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Rua takes an elbow to the forehead.
Huff cracks Rua with a nice body shot.

Rua is rocked!
Huff creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Rua! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Huff.
