Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Matt Fisler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Chambers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matt Fisler! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamal Chambers! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chambers closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fisler circles away. Chambers throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Fisler's waist but Fisler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Chambers off to one side. Fisler throws a right and a left that both miss. Fisler bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fisler stands up. Fisler pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Fisler will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Fisler is looking to clinch but Chambers is avoiding it.
Chambers misses with a takedown and Fisler counters with a head kick. That will keep Chambers thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Matt Fisler has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jamal Chambers. Fisler fails to land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Fisler wants to clinch. Chambers tries for a takedown but Fisler circles away easily and Fisler counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Fisler doesn't manage to clinch there - Chambers circles away.

Fisler throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Fisler fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Chambers doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fisler counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Chambers! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chambers wants to hold on but Fisler pushes him away. Chambers looks gassed! Chambers is wriggling around trying to escape.
BOOM! Fisler connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Chambers is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fisler stands up from mount. Strange move. Fisler tries to clinch but Chambers is having none of it. Chambers takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Chambers avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Fisler throws a shot from downtown. Chambers moves away and avoids it. Chambers doesn't succeed with the takedown and Fisler counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chambers won't be happy with that. Chambers is still in real trouble! Can Fisler finish him? Fisler stands up and we're back to a striking position. Fisler wants to clinch up but Chambers keeps it at a distance. Chambers seems to have recovered his senses. Matt Fisler seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fisler changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chambers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Chambers tries to improve position but can't. Fisler decides to stand up, so the ref orders Chambers to his feet. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Fisler!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chambers shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Chambers was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Chambers blocks Fisler's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Fisler is trying desperately to improve position. Fisler slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Fisler is defending against the submission attempts here by Chambers.
Chambers working Fisler over with strikes. Chambers is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Fisler looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Chambers uses his free foot to push down on Fisler's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fisler. Fisler tries to get back to half guard but can't. Chambers should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Chambers wants to take his opponent's back but Fisler doesn't allow it. Fisler is trying to escape the mount.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chambers doesn't have the hooks in and Fisler manages to turn into his guard.
Fisler slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Fisler stands up and we're back to a striking position. Fisler throws a right and a left that Chambers avoids nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Matt Fisler dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Fisler looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Chambers stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Fisler. Chambers scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fisler tries to get to full guard but Chambers has control of the leg. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fisler pushes Chambers off looking to stand but Chambers dives back in and keeps control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Chambers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Chambers is breathing heavily. Chambers is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Fisler defends it well. Fisler desperately trying to maintain half guard. Fisler looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Chambers works his way into full mount! Fisler working to try and regain half guard.

Chambers slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
