Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frankie Gambini! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brian Serrano! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Lou da Vinci and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gambini leaves Serrano with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gambini misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Serrano.
Gambini changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Serrano tries to avoid it but Gambini manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Serrano to the ground. Serrano escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Serrano has taken the fight to the clinch.
Serrano lands a good knee to the midsection. Gambini won't want to take too many of those. Serrano lands a body shot in the clinch.
Gambini is breathing heavily. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Serrano is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Serrano putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Gambini in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Serrano gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Serrano lands a nice shot to the body. Serrano digs a right hand underneath Gambini's ribcage. Gambini let out a lung full of air as it connected. Serrano lands a body shot in the clinch.

It looks like Frankie Gambini has been cut. Serrano scores with a hook to the body. Serrano using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.

Gambini takes a shot to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Serrano lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Nice elbow from Serrano. Gambini takes an elbow to the forehead. Serrano lands with a left to the head. Serrano with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Serrano lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Serrano pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Serrano moves into the clinch successfully.
Serrano with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A short left from Serrano. Serrano breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Serrano gets the takedown into side control. Gambini takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Gambini is rocked! A big shot lands for Serrano! That's hurt Gambini! Will he recover? Serrano fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Brian Serrano!
