Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bones Norris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Norris's choice of entrance music: Vicarious. Bones Norris is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Norris circles away quickly and effectively.
Norris checks a leg kick nicely.
Norris tries to land a front kick but Diaz steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Norris gets a clinch.
Norris tries for a takedown but Diaz manages to get underhooks.
Nice body punch from Diaz - that landed with a thud.
Diaz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Norris creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Diaz is looking to control Norris's arms but Norris gets an underhook and turns him. Now Diaz has his back to the cage.
Diaz avoids the elbow strike from Norris, against the cage.

Norris lands a nice elbow.
It looks like Mike Diaz has been cut.
Norris gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Norris goes for a takedown attempt but Diaz pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Norris tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Diaz attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Norris throws a quick inside leg kick.

Diaz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Diaz keeps the fight on the outside.
Diaz throws a series of punches but Norris avoids them all with ease.
Diaz could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Norris moves in looking to clinch but Diaz pushes him off.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Diaz tries to keep at a distance but Norris has taken the fight into the clinch.
Norris tries to land knees in the clinch but Diaz avoids the damage to the body.

Diaz wants to break the clinch but can't.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Norris just misses with a elbow thrown towards Diaz's brow.
Diaz tries to circle away but Norris has him pinned against the cage.

Diaz blocks an elbow strike from Norris.

Norris's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Norris is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Diaz!
It looks like Bones Norris has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Diaz scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Norris looks winded!
Diaz ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Diaz throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Norris throws a wild hook but Diaz just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Norris gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Diaz raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Diaz!
In his post fight interview, Mike Diaz started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
