Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Halo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roger Marsden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Halo comes to the cage accompanied by Squeeze 1st-Jay-Z. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Halo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Roger Marsden! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marsden thows a body shot but no joy. Halo throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Marsden throws a body punch but Halo moves out of range. Marsden drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Marsden has gone for a leg lock! Halo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Marsden's guard. Halo controls from within his opponent's guard. Marsden is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Halo is aware though and is defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsden looking to hit a scissor sweep but Halo is one step ahead there. Marsden throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Halo wants to pass the guard but Marsden is keeping the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Halo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Marsden keeping moving, preventing Halo from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Michael Halo wasn't doing enough on the ground. Marsden just misses with a punch to the body.
Halo looks to land a combination but Marsden avoids it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marsden lands a jab to the nose. Marsden tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Halo was well out of range. Poor timing from Marsden. Halo explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. That kick from Halo tenderised Marsden's leg. Marsden is trying to keep his angry face on. A big left from Marsden misses. Marsden ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Marsden misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Halo.
Marsden staying out of range there. Marsden has a takedown stuffed. Marsden has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Halo. Halo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Marsden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Halo.
Halo lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Halo takes one to the chin there. Halo connects with a body shot. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Marsden throws a right and a left that Halo avoids nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marsden swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Halo lands a nice leg kick that just misses Marsden's sensitive parts. Halo tests Marsden's chin there with a solid looking shot. Marsden lands a head shot. Marsden connects with a single shot there. Marsden looks to score with a jab to the body but Halo is just out of range. Marsden avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Halo misses with an uppercut. Marsden saw that one coming. Halo misses with a hook. Marsden walks into a straight right hand from Halo. A looping hook to the body misses from Marsden. Halo does a little dance to reset his feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Marsden digs a good body shot into Halo's ribs. Marsden chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Halo can pounce on him.
Halo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Marsden is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Marsden dives in and grabs Halo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Halo pushes down on Marsden's head and hops out. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Michael Halo will probably get the nod. That's time! Halo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Halo works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. A nice inside leg kick there by Halo. That's going to slow Marsden down. Marsden shoots in looking for a takedown. Halo tries to sprawl out of it but Marsden keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Halo manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Halo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Marsden moves away. Halo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Marsden throws out the jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Marsden. Halo does a little dance to reset his feet. Halo shoots in for a double leg but Marsden sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A swing and a miss from Marsden. Marsden misses with a straight right. Michael Halo is winning the standup battle so far. Halo with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Marsden tests Halo's chin there with a solid looking shot. Halo misses with an uppercut
and Marsden counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Halo misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Halo throws a solid leg kick but Marsden takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Halo. Halo lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marsden cracks Halo with a good jab. Marsden has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Marsden slips under a jab. Marsden fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Halo manages to avoid it. Halo ducks under a wild hook from Marsden. Halo looks to throw the jab but Marsden is out of range. Marsden jabbing away but nothing is landing. Halo throws a head kick but Marsden moves out of range.
Marsden throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Marsden throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Halo stuffs the takedown attempt from Marsden. Marsden gets slowly back to his feet. Halo fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Marsden uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Halo.
Marsden is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range. Marsden swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Marsden throws a hook to the side of Halo's head but Halo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Halo is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Marsden.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halo misses the jab. A nice inside leg kick there by Halo. That's going to slow Marsden down. Michael Halo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Halo tries to land a front kick but Marsden steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Marsden's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down. Marsden moves out of range of the body kick. Marsden moves out of range as Halo strikes. Halo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Marsden's calf. Halo lands with a good body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Marsden works Halo's body with a nice hook. Marsden takes a swing at Halo's ribcage but misses. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Marsden. Michael Halo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roger Marsden. Halo thuds his right hand into Marsden's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Marsden swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Halo misses with an attempted mid kick.
Marsden gets a double leg takedown into Halo's guard. Halo working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Marsden.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halo is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Marsden throws a sloppy strike and Halo has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Marsden is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Halo!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:28 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Michael Halo! Michael Halo really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Firebird Designs logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
