Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sun Shine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tani Otoshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sun Shine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tani Otoshi!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shine tries to clinch but Otoshi is having none of it.
Otoshi scores with a jab to the head.
Otoshi misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
The fight stays on the outside here - Shine looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Shine wants to clinch.
Otoshi comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Otoshi closes the distance and clinches.

Shine breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Shine darts in and clinches Otoshi up against the cage.
Shine tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Otoshi is trying to break the clinch but Shine has him pressed against the cage.
Otoshi fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Otoshi misses with some punches.
Otoshi throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Shines head.

Otoshi manages to break the clinch.
Otoshi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Shine moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Otoshi lands a right hook to the body.
Shine looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Otoshi shoots for a takedown but Shine saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Shine tries to clinch up.
A combination from Otoshi does no damage.
Shine is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Otoshi.
Otoshi tries to bum rush Shine with a series of wild strikes but Shine uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Otoshi throws a right and a left that Shine avoids nicely.

Shine wants to clinch.

and Otoshi counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Otoshi.

Otoshi breaks from the clinch.
Shine moves in looking to clinch but Otoshi pushes him off.
Shine tries to close the distance and clinch but Otoshi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Shine looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Otoshi shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Otoshi showed some decent athleticism there.

Shine on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Shine tries to get out of the position.
It looks like Otoshi is going to stand back up.

Otoshi escapes and gets back to his feet.
Shine stuffs the takedown.
Otoshi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shine.

Otoshi shoots in looking for a takedown. Shine tries to sprawl out of it but Otoshi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Shine manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sun Shine has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tani Otoshi.
The fight stays on the outside here - Otoshi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Otoshi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Otoshi throws a push kick but Shine slaps the foot to one side.

Otoshi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Otoshi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Otoshi jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Shine manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Otoshi stands up and beckons Shine to his feet.
Shine wants to clinch but Otoshi slips to the side
and Otoshi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Otoshi throws a body punch but Shine moves out of range.

Otoshi scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Otoshi stands up and beckons Shine to his feet.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Otoshi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Shine throws a hook to the side of Otoshi's head but Otoshi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Otoshi scores with the left hand. Shine knows he should have avoided that one.
Shine misses with a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Otoshi closes the distance and clinches.

Otoshi fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Otoshi lands a shoulder strike.
Otoshi avoids the elbow strike from Shine, against the cage.
Shine misses with a knee to the head.
Otoshi lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Shine backwards.

Otoshi breaks from the clinch.
Otoshi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Sun Shine is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Shine gets caught flat footed, as Otoshi shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Shine is looking to control Otoshi's arms but Otoshi gets an underhook and turns him. Now Shine has his back to the cage.

Otoshi goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Shine is on top in guard.
Shine won't allow Otoshi to get back to his feet.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Shine stands up and waves to Otoshi to follow him.

Otoshi is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Shine rather than just go for the knockout.

Otoshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shine moves away.

Shine drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Shine gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Otoshi throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Shine stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

and Otoshi counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Otoshi ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shine moves away.

and Otoshi counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Otoshi has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Shine misses with a knee to the head.
Otoshi misses with some punches.
Otoshi makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Otoshi just leaning against Shine, taking a breather.

Otoshi lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Otoshi throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
No joy there for Otoshi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Otoshi stands up from Shine's guard - Otoshi perhaps looking for a knockout.

Otoshi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shine looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Tani Otoshi has got the better of the ground game so far.

Otoshi decides to stand back up. Otoshi steps back and let's Shine get back to his feet.
Sun Shine has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Shine looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Otoshi makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Otoshi scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Otoshi lands with a light punch inside.

Tani Otoshi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Otoshi winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
