The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonald throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
McDonald feints and then cracks Fightmaster's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Fightmaster down.
McDonald scores with a head kick. Fightmaster tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

It looks like Max Fightmaster has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McDonald works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Fightmaster looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
McDonald will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fightmaster.

McDonald dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Fightmaster. That did some damage!

Fightmaster closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McDonald's guard.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fightmaster is defended easily by McDonald.

Fightmaster on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
