Shirahama comes to the cage accompanied by Fade To Black. Kokkalis is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Promises - Nero ft. Skrillex. The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kokkalis leaves Shirahama with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Vangelis Kokkalis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shirahama bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kokkalis tries a head kick but it misses.

Good leg kick by Kokkalis there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Shirahama throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Shirahama closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kokkalis to the mat! Kokkalis manages to get full guard.

Kokkalis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shirahama looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Kokkalis throws a shot from downtown. Shirahama moves away and avoids it.
Kokkalis connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Some bone on bone action there as Shirahama checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Kokkalis throws a push kick but Shirahama slaps the foot to one side.

Kokkalis throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kokkalis throws a hook but Shirahama blocks it.
Kokkalis throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kokkalis fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shirahama manages to avoid it.
Kokkalis lands a leg kick that knocks Shirahama off balance momentarily.

Kokkalis cracks Shirahama with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Kokkalis steps in with a hook that catches Shirahama right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Kokkalis follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Shirahama looks absolutely devastated.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vangelis Kokkalis!
