Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matt Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Miller might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Johnny Cash - Hurt. Scott is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bang - By Barry Scott. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, John Mangel and Bruno Hogan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller feints and then cracks Scott's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Scott down.
Miller has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Scott.
Miller keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Scott.
Scott chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Scott looks to land a left hand but Miller moved out of range nicely.
A bone on bone clash there as Scott blocks the leg kick.
A jab from Scott misses.
Miller loads up on a big right hand but Scott slips the punch.
Nice takedown defense from Scott. No joy for Miller on that attempt.

Miller is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Scott is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Miller shoots in looking for a takedown. Scott tries to sprawl out of it but Miller keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Scott manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Miller stalks Scott and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Scott's face. Scott staggers backwards, shaken.
Miller misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Scott.

Miller misses with a takedown attempt - Scott sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Miller throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Scott throws an overhand right that lands on Miller's shoulder, as Miller tries to avoid the shot.
Scott doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Scott throws a jab but it's blocked by Miller.
Miller stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Scott rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miller moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

and Scott counters with a good low kick that Miller was not able to check.
Miller chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Scott can pounce on him.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

I would just about give that final round to Barry Scott.
Well Scott has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Barry Scott is the new lightweight champion!
Barry Scott decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
