Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Merrick Kane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musashimaru Koyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kane's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Blood Sugar - Pendulum. Koyo has chosen "Tengoku Kara Kaminari" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Merrick Kane! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
28 - 8 - 2, fighting out of Sydney, Musashimaru Koyo! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Eliza Hachem and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Koyo with that takedown attempt. Kane moves out of range of the leg kick from Koyo. A head kick misses from Koyo. Koyo takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Kane jabs at Koyo's body. Koyo's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kane connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Koyo scrambles back to his feet. Koyo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kane moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kane pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kane throws a half hearted mid kick. Koyo looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Kane throws a body kick that misses. Koyo bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kane throws out a powerful jab. Koyo misses with a straight left.
That's one minute gone in the round. Koyo misses with a body kick. Koyo gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Kane. Koyo connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Kane throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Koyo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. The fight stays on the outside here - Kane looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Koyo looks to score with a jab to the body but Kane is just out of range. Koyo tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kane digs a good hook to Koyo's body.
Kane wants to clinch. Koyo takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Crunch! Kane slams his shin into Koyo's torso. Kane keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Merrick Kane is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Koyo throws out a leg kick but Kane moves out of range and Koyo only half commits. Koyo swings for the body but Kane moves out of range.
Koyo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kane counters with an outside leg kick.
Koyo swings away with a leg kick that misses. Kane pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Koyo throws a poor cross that misses
and Kane connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Koyo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Kane is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Kane throws a nice head kick!
Kane lands with a shot to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Koyo motions for Kane to come forward. Koyo throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Kane bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Koyo's head backwards.
It looks like Musashimaru Koyo has been cut. Kane throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Koyo stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Koyo looks winded! Kane lands with a right and another and another! Koyo is in big trouble! Kane lands again and this time it's lights out for Koyo! A quality knockout there for Kane.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Merrick Kane! Merrick Kane retains his super heavyweight title! A victorious Merrick Kane thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
