Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arafat avoids the body shot from Barrera.
Barrera fails to land the takedown. Barrera fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Barrera looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alejandro Barrera. That's going to take a lot out of him. Barrera showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Arafat.

That's one minute gone in the round. Barrera shoots for a double leg takedown but Arafat sprawls well. He's pushed Barrera's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Arafat throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A cross from Arafat lands. Arafat lands with an uppercut that bounces Barrera off the cage and back into range. Barrera shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Barrera has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Barrera there as he acknowledges the shot. Arafat swats away the attempt to clinch by Barrera. Arafat misses the shot to the body. Barrera keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Arafat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arafat scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Barrera doesn't seem bothered though. Barrera looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Arafat is fending him off so far but Barrera persists. Nope, Arafat circles away and we're back to standing. Barrera is breathing heavily. Barrera closes the distance and clinches up with Arafat, looking for a takedown. Barrera pushes Arafat against the cage but Arafat circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Barrera tries to close the distance and clinch up but Arafat swats him away and circles back towards the center. Barrera moves to clinch but Arafat breaks away letting Arafat counter with a right hand. Barrera has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Arafat finds it's way round the side to connect with Barrera's head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Barrera takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Barrera is looking to clinch. Arafat connects with a looping right hand.
Arafat throws a right hand that Barrera ducks under and follows up with a left that Barrera also avoids with ease.

Alejandro Barrera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arafat scores with a punch to the head. Arafat displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Barrera. Arafat lands the left hand. Barrera throws a head kick but Arafat moves out of range.
Arafat jabs Barrera to the body, keeping him at a distance. Arafat lands a jab to the nose. Arafat moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Barrera. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Arafat getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Arafat moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. This has been an exciting period of action! Arafat connects with the punch. Arafat lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Barrera is rocked! Arafat drops Barrera with a straight right hand, right on the button! Arafat follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
