Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ladislav Hemsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hemsky has chosen Onward to Victory as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ladislav Hemsky! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hemsky connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
It looks like Paul Jones has been cut. Hemsky tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Hemsky misses with a hook. Jones ducked under it nicely. Jones closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Hemsky's guard. Jones preventing the sweep. Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Hemsky is retaining full guard. Jones throws a big right hand that misses. Jones trying to control but Hemsky is working from the bottom. Hemsky looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Jones throws an elbow that misses. Hemsky uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jones's guard. Nice move by Hemsky! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hemsky wants to stand but Jones is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones trying to keep a closed guard but Hemsky is proving a slippery customer.
Hemsky stands up and waves to Jones to follow him. Jones throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Hemsky looks to score with a jab to the body but Jones is just out of range. Hemsky avoids the body shot from Jones.
Jones lands a right hook to the body.
Hemsky swats away the attempt to clinch by Jones. A cross from Hemsky lands.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hemsky doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A looping hook to the body misses from Jones. Hemsky does a little dance to reset his feet. Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hemsky sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jones is keen to just control but Hemsky is a slippery customer. Jones prevents Hemsky from improving his position. Jones winds up and cracks Hemsky with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hemsky is staying active underneath Jones, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Jones has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to pass to mount but Hemsky is defending the position. Hemsky has his hands clasped together around Jones's back. He's all about the action. Hemsky is not content to let Jones control the position.
We're going to have a standup here because Paul Jones wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Jones throws an off balance right hand
and Hemsky counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena. Hemsky walks into a stiff left hand from Jones. Jones throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Jones takes a swing at Hemsky's ribcage but misses. Jones listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Hemsky moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hemsky takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Hemsky has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hemsky there as he acknowledges the shot. Hemsky throws a hook but Jones avoids it easily. Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hemsky has time to react. Hemsky avoids the body shot from Jones.
Jones scores with a nice strike. Hemsky misses with a double jab
and Jones counters with a lovely shot to the body. Hemsky stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hemsky throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jones scores with a shot to the body.
Hemsky just misses with a punch to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Jones dominated that round. The cut man is working on Paul Jones's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Jones lands a jab. The fighters circling - Jones throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Paul Jones is winning the standup battle so far. Jones misses with a wild body shot. Hemsky misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hemsky changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Hemsky scores with a leg kick.
Jones takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Hemsky gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Hemsky swings for the body but Jones moves out of range.
Hemsky jabs at Jones's body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hemsky avoids the body shot from Jones.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Hemsky preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Jones looking to pass the guard. Hemsky is trying to keep Jones in close.
Jones trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Jones pushing down on Hemsky's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Hemsky wants to control but Jones is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hemsky is looking to improve his position.
Jones wants to pass to mount but Hemsky is defending the position. Hemsky is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones passes to full mount! Hemsky really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jones. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. This has been an exciting period of action! Jones postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Hemsky looks a forlorn figure.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones raining down hammerfists from mount. Hemsky is squirming around, avoiding Jones's attempts to control the action. Jones looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Jones unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Hemsky wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! Jones celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:53 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paul Jones! Paul Jones decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
