Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Aljo Stajerski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Riley Morgan! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Morgan fails with an attempt to clinch.
Riley Morgan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stajerski moves into range and clinches up with Morgan. Morgan wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Stajerski can't get the takedown.
Stajerski has clasped his hands together around Morgan's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Stajerski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Morgan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Morgan is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Stajerski has just dragged him back down to the mat. Stajerski controlling the position from side mount. Morgan defending against the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stajerski is looking to take a break and control but Morgan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Stajerski advances nicely into full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stajerski goes for an armbar but Morgan turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Morgan. Morgan preventing the sweep. Stajerski is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Morgan is in trouble now - Stajerski has advanced to mount! Stajerski moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Morgan has worked his arm free - good work by Morgan!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Morgan is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Stajerski is controlling him well. A lull in the action here as Stajerski stalls from top position. Stajerski is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Morgan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Morgan trying to control but Stajerski flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stajerski has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Morgan! Can he survive? No! He's out! Stajerski gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
