The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Butcher - just one landing.
It looks like Joe Saunders has been cut.
Butcher misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Saunders lands with a shot to the body.
Butcher throws a sloppy head kick and Saunders moves out of range easily.
Butcher drops Saunders with a beautiful combination! Saunders stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Butcher is looking for the KO!

Saunders throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Butcher swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Saunders makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Wally Butcher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Saunders counters with a left and a right that stings Butcher.
A combination from Butcher does no damage.
Butcher misses with a double jab.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Saunders! Butcher is out on his feet! Saunders rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Butcher is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Butcher is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
