Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jamison Metcalf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aquiles Bergasmarchi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamison Metcalf! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aquiles Bergasmarchi! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Metcalf shoots and misses and Bergasmarchi counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Metcalf throws a series of punches but Bergasmarchi moves out of range. Bergasmarchi takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Metcalf lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Metcalf throws a head kick that misses. Bergasmarchi slips a jab and a cross from Metcalf.
Metcalf throws the kick towards the body but Bergasmarchi avoids it. Bergasmarchi misses with a series of wild punches.
Metcalf misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's one minute gone in the round. Metcalf pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Metcalf could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Metcalf gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Bergasmarchi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jamison Metcalf. That's going to take a lot out of him. Metcalf working a defensive guard but Bergasmarchi passes into half guard.
Metcalf tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Bergasmarchi controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bergasmarchi trying to control from half guard but Metcalf is working away. Bergasmarchi is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Bergasmarchi wants to take a breather but Metcalf is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bergasmarchi is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bergasmarchi works his foot free and advances to mount. Bergasmarchi thowing shots but they're missing. Bergasmarchi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bergasmarchi throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Metcalf is squirming around, avoiding Bergasmarchi's attempts to control the action. Metcalf holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Bergasmarchi tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Metcalf is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Metcalf is breathing heavily. Bergasmarchi controlling from mount. Bergasmarchi has control of Metcalf's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Metcalf regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Metcalf is trying desperately to improve position. Metcalf knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bergasmarchi on the ground. Bergasmarchi controlling from the full mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Bergasmarchi looking for a guillotine from mount but Metcalf is having none of it. Metcalf really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Bergasmarchi looking to control but Metcalf is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Bergasmarchi throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Bergasmarchi content just to control the position here. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Bergasmarchi looking to isolate an arm here. Metcalf doesn't see it coming and as Bergasmarchi extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Bergasmarchi!
