Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between George Droop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warren is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by God's gonna cut you down by Jonny Cash. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, George Droop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 13 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reggie Warren!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Joseph Jones and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Droop throws a head kick but Warren moves out of range.

Warren darts in and clinches Droop up against the cage.
Droop tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Warren lands an uppercut.
Droop is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Warren avoids a wild elbow strike from Droop.
Warren softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Warren blocking some punches.
A short left from Droop.
Droop with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Warren lands a takedown into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Warren trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Droop wants to sweep here but Warren controlling him for the moment.
Droop will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Warren trying to control the position from guard on top but Droop is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Warren accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Warren missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Warren is looking to work some ground and pound but Droop has wrist control.
Droop keeping moving, preventing Warren from controlling successfully.
Droop not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Droop pulls Warren in close to his closed guard and prevents Warren from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Warren takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Warren is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Warren lands a nice shot to the body.
Droop darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Warren.

Droop tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Droop takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
George Droop is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Warren loads up on a big right hand but Droop slips the punch.
Warren shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Droop as he avoids it easily.
George Droop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reggie Warren.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Warren dives in and grabs Droop's left leg, looking for a takedown. Droop pushes down on Warren's head and hops out.
Droop keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Droop blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Droop makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Droop tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Warren gets through Droop's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.

Warren is trying to maintain a safe position but Droop gets an underhook and turns Warren into the cage.

Droop really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Droop looking to throw knees to the head but Warren is blocking nicely.
Droop trying to control the position but instead, Warren has worked for underhooks and has pushed Droop into the cage.

Still in the clinch, Warren scores with a nice short uppercut.
A nice right hand lands inside from Warren.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Droop fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Warren lands a hook that snaps the head of Droop backwards.
Warren scores with a hook to the body.
Warren scores a nice knee to the body.
Droop has Warren pushed against the cage.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Warren makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Droop swings wildly with an uppercut but Warren uses good head movement to avoid it.

Warren wants the takedown. Droop is fighting it off but Warren persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Droop's guard against the cage.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Warren pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Droop is keeping the position for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Warren dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Warren shoots in but Droop avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Warren comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Droop on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Warren. Warren obviously looking to wear him down.
Warren looks for a takedown but Droop sprawls well.

Warren tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Droop was well out of range. Poor timing from Warren.
Reggie Warren seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Warren is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Droop.
Warren feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Droop's calf.
Warren gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Warren misses with a takedown attempt - Droop sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
George Droop has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reggie Warren.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Droop throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Warren blocks it with crossed arms.

Still in the clinch, Warren scores with a nice short uppercut.
Warren lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Droop backwards.
A nice left hand lands by Warren.
Warren digs a right hand into Droop's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Droop's gas tank.
Droop is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

With the fighters up against the cage, Droop throws an elbow but misses.
Reggie Warren seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Warren gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Droop regains guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Warren connects with a couple of short punches.
Droop avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reggie Warren showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!


Warren fails with a takedown attempt.
Warren darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Warren tries to close the distance and clinch but Droop swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Warren looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Droop throws a right and a left that Warren avoids nicely.

Warren uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Droop.
Nice shot lands for Droop.
Warren throws a front kick aimed at Droop's knee but Droop avoids it well.
Warren stuns Droop with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Droop throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Droop misses with a two punch combination.
Warren with a lazy takedown attempt
and Droop counters with a series of strikes. Warren will be more careful next time no doubt.
Warren lands with a kick to the ribs.
Warren moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Droop needs to keep his hands up - Warren had a free shot at his head there.

Droop throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Warren shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Droop napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Reggie Warren is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Droop takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Warren cracks Droop with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Droop is looking to regain half guard here but Warren keeps moving and retains side control.
Warren wants to control but Droop is keeping him busy.
George Droop has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Reggie Warren has got the better of the ground game so far.

Warren landing strikes.
Droop is looking to regain half guard here but Warren keeps moving and retains side control.
Warren has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Droop takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.

Warren in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Droop tries to improve position but can't.

Droop striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee asks Warren politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Warren prefers to stall for the moment though.
Warren scores with a couple of short elbows.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Droop tries to bench press Warren off him but Warren keeps the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Reggie Warren comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Warren has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
