Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ram Durn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bak Sagat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ram Durn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bak Sagat!
The judges for this bout are , and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sagat misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Durn is looking to clinch.
Sagat avoids the head kick by Durn.
Durn looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Durn tries to clinch but Sagat is having none of it.

Sagat clinches up against the cage.
Sagat on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
The referee calls for Durn to work.
Durn tries a knee to the head but Sagat blocks it.
Durn has a couple of punches blocked by Sagat.
Durn stalling in the clinch but Sagat improves position.

Sagat manages to pull guard.
Durn trying to control the position from guard on top but Sagat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sagat looking to control.
Durn preventing the sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sagat looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Durn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sagat is looking to sweep but instead, Durn has passed into half guard.
Durn trying to control the pace.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Durn circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Sagat shoots for a double leg takedown but Durn sprawls well. He's pushed Sagat's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sagat takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like Bak Sagat has been cut.
Sagat tries to clinch but Durn is having none of it.
Durn gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Sagat counters with a nice leg kick.
Sagat shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Durn counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Durn prevents Sagat from getting back to his feet.
Sagat tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Durn trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sagat is striking off his back. Durn thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Sagat is positioning himself well to prevent Durn advancing to mount.
Sagat is in trouble now - Durn has advanced to mount!
Durn avoids the attempt from Sagat to control.
Sagat is looking to improve his position but Durn isn't that keen on the idea.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Durn wants to control the pace but Sagat is squirming around nicely.
Sagat is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Durn tries to control but Sagat wriggling away.
Sagat is working to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ram Durn dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Bak Sagat's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Durn tries to clinch

and Sagat decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Durn's guard.
Sagat in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Durn pushes Sagat off and scrambles back to his feet.

Sagat moves into the clinch.
Durn missing with knees to the body.

Sagat breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Durn swinging wilding here.
The fight stays on the outside here - Durn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sagat misses with a takedown attempt

and Durn holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Durn breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Durn misses with a few strikes there.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Durn looks to clinch

and Sagat counters with a takedown into side control.
Sagat is looking to take a break and control but Durn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sagat stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Durn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sagat paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Durn uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Sagat.

Sagat looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Durn!
Durn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Durn squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Sagat tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Durn tries to lock up and control but Sagat gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Sagat controlling his opponent.
Sagat punishing his opponent with strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sagat can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Durn is looking to escape.
Durn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Bak Sagat has got the better of the ground game so far.
Sagat trying to control but Durn is having none of it.
Sagat controlling his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Sagat avoids the attempt from Durn to control.
Sagat content just to control the position here.
Durn takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bak Sagat showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Sagat looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Durn closes the distance but Sagat moves to the side
and Sagat counters with a thumping low kick.

Durn closes the distance and clinches.
Sagat blocks the elbow strike.

Sagat has hold of one of Durn's legs. Durn is fighting the takedown attempt but Sagat gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Durn utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Sagat stands and throws Durn's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Sagat decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Durn tries to clinch up

and Sagat counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Sagat decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sagat throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sagat has his takedown stuffed

and Durn counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Durn.

Sagat escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Durn works the jab nicely.

Durn drives through and clinches with Sagat against the cage.
Durn has Sagat pushed against the cage.
Sagat dodges an elbow strike from Durn.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Durn throws an elbow but it misses.

Sagat breaks the clinch.
Durn looks to clinch

and Sagat moves into the clinch.
Durn missing with knees to the body.

Sagat pulls guard.
Durn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Sagat is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Durn stands up from Sagat's guard - Durn perhaps looking for a knockout.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Durn closes the distance looking to clinch

and Sagat counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Sagat is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Durn gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Sagat breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sagat shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Durn pinned against the cage. Durn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Ram Durn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bak Sagat.
Durn chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Sagat takes a swing at Durn's ribcage but misses.
Durn tries to clinch up.
Sagat walks into a jab.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Sagat throws a series of punches but Durn avoids them all with ease.
Durn will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sagat is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Sagat pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sagat throws a nice looking combination but Durn bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Durn tries to clinch up but Sagat circles away and keeps his distance.
Sagat shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Durn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Durn wanted to stand there but Sagat had control of the position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Bak Sagat comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sagat has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
