Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Xavier David (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam Synephrine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). David comes to the cage accompanied by Bring The Pain. Synephrine has chosen Hammerfall - Hearts On Fire as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
23 - 16 - 2, fighting out of New York, Xavier David!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Sam Synephrine!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Dean Styles and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
David throws a head kick but Synephrine moves out of range.
David doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
David connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Synephrine momentarily.
Xavier David seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
David misses with an uppercut.
Synephrine fakes high and swings low for a body shot but David manages to avoid it.
David darts in and clinches Synephrine up against the cage.
Synephrine blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, David just misses with a elbow thrown towards Synephrine's brow.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Synephrine stops a takedown attempt from David.
David tightens his grip and picks Synephrine up, before dumping him to the ground. Synephrine manages to land in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as David accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Synephrine manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. David manages to get himself to full guard.

Synephrine drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Synephrine jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

David has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as David holds on and takes a little breather.
Synephrine wants to control from the top but David keeps moving.
David will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
David manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Synephrine manages to get himself to full guard.

David scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Synephrine to see if he's OK.

David is working Synephrine over with some ground and pound from side control.

David throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A decent looking cross lands there for David.
Synephrine throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Synephrine lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and David has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from David and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

The fighters circling - David throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Synephrine goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

David throws a shot from downtown. Synephrine moves away and avoids it.
Synephrine uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from David.
David throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
David moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

David looks to score with a jab to the body but Synephrine is just out of range.
David misses with a straight left.
Synephrine throws a push kick but David slaps the foot to one side.

and Synephrine counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. David is lucky that one didn't land flush.
